A tenant turned in a maintenance request for a leaking dishwasher. She stated that it wasn't anything too urgent, as it was just a 'little water" on the floor after each wash. After trouble shooting and sending out a plumber, the issue could not be recreated or found. A week later, the tenant called with the same issue, water outside the dishwasher. And again, a plumber was sent out.
After the same issue happened for over a month, the manager goes out to watch the dishwasher run a cycle. And still, no water is leaking from the unit, but the tenant is adamant that there is water after the cycles.
While discussing the issue, the tenants teenage child enters the kitchen to empty the dishwasher. While emptying it, they tip the newly washed glasses over onto the floor to shake off the access water.... Needless to say, the dishwasher wasn't leaking..
